About

Meet Jen Schorn

A lifelong resident of Bucks County, Jennifer Schorn brings over 25 years of experience as a dedicated prosecutor and public servant. Sworn in as Bucks County District Attorney in January 2024, she has built a career rooted in justice, accountability, and the pursuit of safer communities.

Raised in Upper Southampton Township, Jen is a proud graduate of Archbishop Wood High School and St. Joseph's University. As an undergraduate at St. Joseph's University, Jen quickly distinguished herself as a leader among her peers. She served as the Captain of the Women's Rowing team during her junior and senior years, guiding them to historic victories at the Dad Vail Regatta in 1993 and 1994—an achievement never before accomplished by any St. Joe's women's or men's team.

Jen earned her law degree from Widener University Law School and began her career in public service in 1999 when she joined the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.

Over the years, her dedication and skill in the courtroom earned her several key leadership positions, including Chief of Trials and Chief of the Grand Jury Division. Recognized for her legal expertise and leadership, she was appointed First Assistant District Attorney in 2021, where she played a pivotal role in shaping prosecution strategies and overseeing major criminal cases.

Throughout her distinguished career, Jen has handled a wide range of criminal cases, including high-profile homicide investigations, violent crimes, and complex felony prosecutions. She has been instrumental in solving several cold case homicides, bringing long-overdue justice to victims and their families.

During her time in the office, she has also served as the Chief of the Investigative Grand Jury, Chief of Special Victims and Chief of Major Crimes. She is on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Institute and on Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Association Education and Training Committee.

As District Attorney, Jen is committed to protecting the community, holding criminals accountable, and advocating for crime victims. Her extensive experience, leadership, and deep roots in Bucks County make her uniquely qualified to continue serving with integrity and dedication.

As District Attorney, my priority is keeping Bucks County safe by holding criminals accountable and protecting our most vulnerable. By working together, we can build a safer, stronger community for everyone.

on the issues

  • Keeping Our Streets Safe

As District Attorney, Jen Schorn is committed to ensuring Bucks County remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. She works tirelessly to hold violent criminals accountable, crack down on repeat offenders, and support law enforcement in their mission to keep communities secure. As Bucks County’s first Human Trafficking Chief, she has been at the forefront of efforts to dismantle trafficking networks and bring justice to victims. Through strategic prosecution, crime prevention initiatives, and collaboration with local agencies, she is dedicated to making neighborhoods safer for everyone.

  • Defending Seniors from Fraud & Scams

Senior citizens are increasingly targeted by scammers and financial predators, and Jen Schorn is taking decisive action to protect them. She is committed to educating the public, prosecuting those who exploit older adults, and working with law enforcement to prevent financial crimes. By raising awareness and strengthening protections, she ensures that Bucks County’s seniors can live with dignity and security, free from fraud and abuse.

  • Combating the Opioid Epidemic

The opioid crisis has devastated families and communities, and Jen Schorn is leading the fight against this epidemic in Bucks County. She prioritizes holding drug traffickers accountable while also supporting treatment and rehabilitation programs for those struggling with addiction. Through law enforcement partnerships, prevention initiatives, and community outreach, she is working to reduce overdoses, break the cycle of addiction, and save lives.

  • Protecting Our Children

As a proud partner of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, Jen has developed a county-wide team including members from every large municipal police department in Bucks County.  This serves as a force multiplier in combatting child predators who use the internet and social media to access their victims and share criminal content with other predators.

  • Partnering with Local Law Enforcement

Public safety is a team effort, and Jen Schorn understands the importance of strong collaboration between the District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement. Throughout her career in public service, she has built close relationships with local police departments and community organizations to ensure officers have the resources, training, and legal support needed to effectively combat crime. By fostering these partnerships, she strengthens the justice system and enhances safety across Bucks County.
